Wear the band
A simple blue band lets you carry the message with you.
A simple sign of support
Wear the blue band. When you see a police officer, raise it. No speech. No politics. Just a clear sign of gratitude and support.

The gesture
A simple blue band lets you carry the message with you.
When you see an officer, raise your band so they can see it.
Invite someone else to wear the band and keep the gesture moving.
Where it started
After the July 2016 Dallas police shootings, a group of downtown Dallas residents banded together to support the police department through an extraordinarily difficult period.
They brought food to officers, shook their hands, and distributed 2,000 blue bands over two weeks. Each band came with a card explaining the gesture. What began as a neighborhood response became an idea worth carrying forward.
The common ground
“This is not about choosing a side. It is about choosing to show gratitude.”
Raise The Band is intentionally simple. No debate. No performance. Just one person recognizing another person who has chosen to serve.
Join the movement
The goal is not simply to wear a blue band. The goal is to create a gesture that officers recognize wherever they serve.
Start with yourself
Put it on. Know what it means. Be ready to use the gesture when the moment comes.
Bring someone with you
Give a band to someone you know and explain the simple message behind it.
Move your community
Bring the gesture to your block, business, church, workplace, or community group.
The next chapter
Raise The Band is returning where movements often begin: one neighborhood, one conversation, and one band at a time. From downtown Denver, the goal is to spread throughout the city and then across the country.
Start with one
Get a blue band for yourself, share one with someone else, or wear the message through official apparel. Every purchase helps more bands reach the people and groups who can spread the gesture.
